Coach Roundtree wrestled in high school in Southport, NC at South Brunswick HS. He was a 4-time conference and county champ, 2-time Regional Champ, and NC HS state place-winner. His HS record was 133-21. Roundtree wrestled for St John’s University in Collegeville, MN, and was a starter at 125lbs for the Johnnies.

As a coach, Roundtree coached three seasons under NC High School Wrestling Hall of Famer, Jack Southern, at South Brunswick HS. During those three seasons, Roundtree helped the cougars finish top 6 in the state 2 out of 3 seasons. SBHS won the 3A East Regional twice, produced their second ever individual State Champion, and helped coach 9 different wrestlers to 100+ career wins. SBHS went on to send multiple wrestlers to colleges in the coming years. After relocating to Atlanta in 2016, Roundtree took a head coaching position at Sutton Middle School. The following season, Coach Roundtree took an assistant coaching job under Charlie Morris and Morris Fitness Wrestling.
